STEP 1: Fill out the Form 10-E “EASY APPLICATION FOR BONDS”
Your Name: Write in your FULL NAME exactly as it appears on your California Driver’s license or I.D. card. NOTE:
You must write your name exactly as it appears on your driver’s license or I.D. card, including any middle name(s).
Business or Corporate Name: Write your business name exactly as it will appear on your application to the DMV for
your dealer license. NOTE: Include any “doing business as” (DBA) name that may be part of your business name.
E.g., ABC Incorporated Dba ABC Car Sales
Amount of Bond: You must determine whether you will be selling under a retail or wholesale license. If you are
applying for a retail license, the state mandated bond amount is $50,000.00. If you will be selling vehicles under a wholesale license AND will be selling NO MORE THAN 24 cars during a single year, the bond amount is $10,000.00.
Effective Date: Please write the date on which you will be turning in your dealer’s license application to your DMV Inspector. If you do not know the exact date, please estimate. The date you provide may not be any earlier than
the date on which you are submitting the bond application to us.
STEP 2: If you are married, it is necessary for your spouse to sign the application in addition to you. NOTE: If your business entity is a partnership, corporation, limited liability company or limited liability partnership, please ask us
about special guidelines for signing the application.
STEP 3: Fax your application to us at (626) 331-8132. Please include a telephone number where we may reach
you.
Step 4: If and when your bond is approved, mail the original bond application to us at:
